Please join us for this year's Community MLK Celebration keynote address from best-selling author, scholar, and cultural critic Michael Eric Dyson. A book signing with Dr. Dyson will follow the address. Tickets are free (limit 5) and free parking is available in the Culbreth Road Parking Garage after 5 pm. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Please arrive to claim your ticket and seat prior to 5:45 pm. Unclaimed tickets will be released at 5:50 pm to patrons in the standby line..

Dr. Michael Eric Dyson – who is an American Book Award recipient and two-time NAACP Image Award winner – is one of the nation’s most influential and renowned public intellectuals. He has been named one of the 150 most powerful African Americans by Ebony magazine. The Philadelphia Weekly contends that Dr. Dyson “is reshaping what it means to be a public intellectual by becoming the most visible black academic of his time.”
